Our story
Hello fellow plant collectors, we're Paulina and Josh! During the fall of 2021, I started collecting plants after stumbling upon a subreddit called r/TAPLAP. Joshua and I had been together for about a year or so and he would tag along with me to nurseries and garden centers. He caught the plant bug soon after I did!
We found that collecting alongside another person who enjoys plants, made the chore of growing far easier and enjoyable!
We aim to not only cultivate healthy plants but healthy plant culture!
Our mission
We aim to shed light on the trials and tribulations experienced while collecting and growing plants. While the hobby is often associated with emergent leaves, healthy roots, new acquisitions, and community, it also involves ripped leaves, rotted roots, harmful pests, and frustration.
We hope to build a community where collectors can relate to each other’s struggles and encourage one another to push through the “Phyto Rot” and thrive in a hobby that is as rewarding as it is demanding.
